In the video the teacher is explaining why character 马 (meaning "horse") is in so many different words with no connection to horses.
In Chinese language character 妈 (means "mother") has a 马 part (means "horse") . A a lot of students who just started learning Chinese are making a joke that mother is a woman-horse, I thought that it would be funny and relatable to illustrate this character in the video:)
